Visitor Health & Safety Info
Whilst we encourage children to play, explore, and get dirty, basically be children, unfortunately we can't create an environment that is completely risk-free, especially where contact with animals are involved.
Here at North Alves, we take measures as much as we feasibly can and encourage you, to try help reduce the potential risk of the spread of any harmful bacterial organisms (such as E-Coli), but obviously you can never have a completely risk free environment.
Correct hand washing with warm soapy water is the most effective way to reduce/eliminate risks. Wipes and alcohol gel are no substitute for warm, soapy water. Here at North Alves we provide handwashing facilities throughout the site both in our toilet block and handwashing station on entrance/exit to our animal paddock area.

Whilst we take all reasonable steps to help reduce the risks, we ask that adults attending with children take full responsibility to supervise any children in your care to wash their hands, especially after feeding/petting of animals and before eating and drinking. Correct handwashing not only reduces any potential risks to you and your family, but also reduces the risks of contaminating areas for others.
